Candle FAQ

What do you use in your candles?

We use 100% vegan natural organic soy wax in our candles. It burns cleanly, burns for awhile, and is eco-friendly. We also use 100% uncut fragrance oil and safe candle dye. Our wax are chemical free, animal cruelty free, animal free, animal product free, coconut free, and paraffin free. Our wick is cotton and is lead and zinc free.

Is our candle pet safe?

Our candles are 100% natural organic soy wax and/or dog and cat friendly. However, for exotic animals other then dogs and cat who may be more sensitive to aromas and fragrances, please consult your veterinarian for professional expertise before purchasing.

What if you’re allergic to fragrance scent?

We will be providing an unscented version of our candles and a lower cost to those who are allergic to the fragrance smell.

What is the white stuff I see in the wax?

By using 100% vegan natural organic soy wax, white spots may occur. This is called Frosting. Frosting is when a white crystalline layer forms on the surface of natural waxes such as soy. This is a natural effect of soy wax and only occurs throughout vegetable waxes. Frosting takes place when the natural wax used to make a candle tries to return to its natural state. This occur in all different type of wax so this does not mean the candle is defective and will burn perfectly fine.

Will your candles melt in transit during hot temperature season or shrink/wet spot during cold temperature season.

Soy wax is a very soft wax and will start to melt if exposed to hot temperatures for long periods of time. Please be aware that your candles can be affected by severe exposure to hot temperatures of 80 degrees or higher for long periods of time. During hot temperatures days, candles may "sweat" or be slightly melted. Let the candle return to room temperature before burning to ensure an even burn. The packaging we use in our candles provide good insulation while in transit, but is not completely resistant to the elements. On days of scheduled delivery, be sure you are on the premises to accept your package so it does not lay in the sun or sit in a hot mailbox, especially during the peak of summer. The only times we have had reports of our products completely melting in transit is when a customer accidentally left their package laying in the sun for 8+ hours.

As for cold temperatures days, it is common to see the natural soft soy wax with shrinkage inside the jar also known as wet spot. This does not mean the candle is defective and the candle will still burn perfectly fine.

Do your candles/wax melts expire?

Candles are best used within 3-4 years of purchase for optimal burn and fragrance. Under proper care, our candles can last much longer. Be sure to keep candles in cool, dry places away from sunlight if you plan to keep your candles for an extended period of time.
